Class & Workshop Schedule

Classes
Beginning Stained Glass Panel - Students will construct a 12” x 14” copper foil panel. Choose from approximately 50 specific patterns. Cost of tools and supplies averages $400. and is spread over the course of the class. Completion of weekly homework is required. Class fee is $90 and classes run for six (6) weeks.

Intermediate Stained Glass - Here’s your chance to work on anything under the sun: mosaics, lead came, boxes and other 3-D projects. This class is for students with stained glass experience wishing to work on more advanced projects at their own pace. This is a self-directed class to work independently with help and guidance as needed. Class fee is $85 and classes run for five (5) weeks.

Lead - In this class you will have several patterns to choose from to learn the lead technique. This process is used for doors, windows and large panels. Completion of weekly homework is required. Class fee is $85 and classes run for five (5) weeks.
 
  Evening Tuesday, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Instructor: Robin Sessions: 09/07, 10/12
Mosaics - You’ve asked for it! Here it is! Use all those glass scraps you’ve been saving! You can mosaic just about anything. You can make a six paned mosaic window in this class. Window is included in class fee. Come in and look at samples. Class fee is $85 and classes run for five (5) weeks.
 
  Evening Tuesday, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Instructor: Diane Sessions: 09/07, 10/12
Fusing - In this class, you can make bowls, plates, jewelry, and more! This is the perfect chance for you to experiment with frits, stringers, and Dichroic glass. Students will be limited to firing two (2) items per class. Class fee is $125 and classes run for five (5) weeks.

Mini Classes
Glass Beads – Learn how to make your own class beads using a hot-head torch. All materials are included in this class. This is for beginners or for those who want to practice or learn new tips.
 
      Saturday, 10/09 10:00 am-3:00 pm Fee: $75
Intro to Lead – Join Robin to make a panel in a day! If you ever wanted to learn this technique now's the time! Choose from several panels - you will need to pre-cut and grind your pieces so that we have time to assemble, solder and putty! You'll go home with a great little panel!
 
      Saturday, 10/16 10:00 am-3:00 pm Fee: $40
Mosaic Boxes – In this 3 part class, design & create your own one of a kind box! Use for just about anything! Supply fee for wood box is $10. Class is limited to 8 participants.
 
      Tuesday, 11/16, 11/30 & 12/14 7:00-9:00 pm Fee: $40
Blown Ornaments & Icicles– In this class you will make 12-15 ornaments and 4-6 icicles. You will use the hot head torch ofr these projects. This class fills quickly so don't wait and be disappointed! Class size is limited to 8 participants.

Lighted Gift Boxes– These boxes make a great holiday gift or decoration. Due to time constraints you must stop by the store to pick upa pattern and have all glass cut and foiled prior to this class.
 
      Saturday,12/11 10:00 am -3:00 pm Fee: $40

Holiday Workshops

Need a break from the hustle bustle of the holiday season? Looking for a unique gift? Our holiday workshops are the perfect plact to get away from it all to relax and create a handmade item for gift giving or to keep for yourself.
Class fee for these workshops is $30 each or get three for $75 when you register for three at the same time.
Decorative Soldering & Basic Soldering Skills– Hate to solder? This is an opportunity to learn more about solders, fluxes, etc. to help you improve your soldering. Learn all the tips and tricks for decorative soldering. Supply fee for soldering board is $15.
      Sunday, 10/10 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Holiday Ornaments – In this class choose from several different patterns to make ornaments to keep or give as gifts! These are fused and super easy! These are great for office mates, babysitters, teachers, etc.

      Tuesday, 12/07 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fused Stars and Snowflakes – Make wonderful fused stars and/or snowflakes to hang in windows, on a tree, or on a gift! Make several in different colors and wrap with wire.

      Monday, 11/22 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
      Wednesday, 12/1 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fused Jewelry– Cabachons, pendants, earrings, oh my! Make your holiday gifts for everyone in this class! You can also wire-wrap these in the next class.
      Monday, 11/29 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Stand Up Animals – These are so fun! Make polar bears, cats, giraffes, etc. This class fills quickly -- don't wait to sign up!
      Thursday, 12/2 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Wire-wrapped Jewelry – Use your own cabachons or purchase some to make beautiful wire-wrapped jewelry - earrings, pendants, and pins.
      Monday, 12/6 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fused Mirror or Picture Frames – Put your favorite photo or mirror in these frames. Decorate with a theme for the holidays or all year round!
      Monday, 12/13 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
3-D Moravian Star – These are a fun way to decorate a window or tree! Make them in different sizes and colors!
      Wednesday, 12/15 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fused Holiday Bowl – You will make an 8" fused bowl with a holiday theme. This is a good workshop to take if you are considering fusing in the future.

Nativity Class

New for 2011! Ever wanted to make a stained glass nativity set? Never had the time? Join us the second Sunday each moonth from January through October from 12:30 to 2:30 and we'll work on a different figure each month By October you'll haave a complete set! Just in time for the holidays! That 10 months of classes fo $100! Use up your scrap glass! Variety is better! The dates are Sundays, 1/9, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8, 6/12, 7/10, 8/14, 9/11 and 10/9.

Our Class and Workshop Policies

  • Class fees must be paid in advance to reserve a space in a class or workshop and are not refundable or transferable.
  • Unless otherwise noted, materials and supplies are not included in class fees and are the responsibility of the student.
  • Students are required to have glass grinders for use outside of class.
  • Pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult their physicians prior to enrolling in a class or workshop.
  • Please no perfume or cologne in classes and workshops as many people are allergic. Thank you for your understanding.
